Meet Kailey Swenson, LPC-IT

Licensed Professional Counselor In-Training

Kailey believes therapy should be a place where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, without having to have the right words, and without feeling like you have to hide the messy parts.

Her passion for counseling comes from seeing how deeply mental and emotional struggles can affect people and recognizing the need for spaces where those experiences can be worked through safely and honestly. Kailey strives to create that kind of space for every person who walks through her door.

Her approach is grounded in authenticity, compassion, and the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Kailey sees her role as a guide—someone who can help you better understand your emotions, recognize patterns, and make meaningful changes while honoring what feels right for you.

She is especially passionate about working with young adults ages 15–30, couples, military-connected individuals, and clients seeking faith-based or Christian counseling. She naturally connects with people who are willing to be genuine, laugh when appropriate, and recognize that none of us get everything right all the time.

One of Kailey's greatest strengths is listening beyond the words being spoken. She pays attention to the feelings underneath the story, the things that may be left unsaid, and the moments when someone may need to feel understood more than they need an answer.

Above all, Kailey wants clients to leave feeling seen, loved, valued, and safe. Her faith shapes the way she sees people and the way she practices, including her belief that everyone deserves love—even, and especially, when they make mistakes.

And then there's Lambeau, her five-year-old yellow Labrador and occasional office coworker. Lambeau brings plenty of emotional and comedic relief to the therapy experience, offering a comforting presence, a distraction when needed, or a few well-timed kisses. He doesn't attend every session, and Kailey always prioritizes each client's comfort.

Outside of therapy, you'll find Kailey celebrating just about everything, making people laugh, craving Hispanic food, and bringing a little bit of her big, all-male-family energy wherever she goes.
